Booking a health consultation with someone you haven't met, for a service you haven't tried, can feel like a leap. We get it. Most people who come to Iamgen have been managing their health on their own for a while — researching supplements, adjusting their diet, experimenting with what works. The idea of sitting down with a practitioner and being genuinely heard is appealing, but also unfamiliar.
So here's exactly what the process looks like, step by step. No surprises.
Before the consultation: your health assessment
Everything begins with our online health quiz. It takes about five minutes and covers the areas that matter most — energy levels, sleep quality, stress, hormonal symptoms, recovery, cognitive function, and your broader health goals.
This isn't a diagnostic tool. It's a structured intake that gives your practitioner a clear picture of where you're at before you speak. Think of it as the pre-read that makes the actual conversation more productive.
Once you've completed the quiz, you'll be matched with a registered telehealth practitioner and offered a consultation time that works for you.
The consultation itself
Your consultation is conducted via secure video call. It typically runs between 15 and 30 minutes, though there's no hard cutoff — the practitioner will take the time needed to understand your situation.
Here's what they'll typically cover. They'll review your quiz responses and ask follow-up questions about your symptoms, health history, and lifestyle. They'll discuss what you're hoping to achieve — whether that's better energy, improved sleep, hormone balance, sharper focus, or long-term vitality. They'll explain the types of protocols available and which approach might suit your individual profile. And they'll answer any questions you have about the process, the compounds used, safety, or what results to expect.
This is a two-way conversation, not a sales pitch. If a protocol isn't appropriate for you, the practitioner will tell you. If you need further investigation before starting — blood work, a GP referral, or additional screening — they'll recommend that instead.
After the consultation: your protocol
If a personalised protocol is appropriate, the practitioner will design it based on everything discussed. This is then dispensed through a licensed Australian compounding pharmacy and delivered directly to you.
Your protocol will include clear guidance on dosing, timing, storage, and administration. You won't be left guessing.
Ongoing support and check-ins
Iamgen doesn't disappear after your protocol arrives. Our wellness team will check in with you regularly — typically around the 28-day mark — to review how you're responding, answer any questions, and flag anything that needs adjustment.
If your protocol needs modification as you progress, that happens in consultation with your practitioner. The goal is continuous optimisation, not a set-and-forget transaction.
Common questions people ask before their first consultation
Do I need to prepare anything? No formal preparation is needed. If you have recent blood work or relevant medical history, it can be helpful to have it on hand, but it's not required.
Is this a prescription service? Your protocol is prescribed by a registered practitioner and dispensed through a licensed pharmacy. Iamgen coordinates the process but does not prescribe directly.
How quickly will I receive my protocol? Most protocols are dispatched within a few business days of the consultation. Delivery times vary by location.
What if I decide it's not for me? No obligation. If after the consultation you decide not to proceed, that's completely fine. You won't be charged for anything beyond the consultation itself.
Taking the first step
The hardest part is usually just starting. If you've been thinking about it, our health quiz is a zero-commitment way to explore whether a personalised protocol makes sense for you. It takes five minutes, and from there you can decide if a consultation feels right.
